  It's like someone described the Coleco/Intellivision/Atari 2600 game Venture to the programmer over the phone, but the phone cut out and they didn't hear it all so they just tried to fill in the gaps the best they could. Unfortunately they came up short. Could have been good, but its missing some of the essential elements that made Venture engaging.
