The original micro-computer release of Computer Quarterback was an Apple BASIC conversion of a mini-computer game written in FORTRAN. It was released in 1979. Author Dan Bunten was a pioneer in multi-player games and the single-player option was added at the request of SSI.

This was released in 1981, not 1984. Both the title screen and manual are dated 1981.
