I think the one you're referring to is Gideon is 'Computer Adventure' (disk 141 on Homesoft's site) but as the title is not mentioned anywhere in the game it's highly possible it could have been known as 'Atari Adventure'.

Does this, perhaps, refer to the text adventure of the same name? It had an awful parser, but the premise was kind of cool--you got sucked into your Atari and had to fix it.
