Captain Beeble must collect underwater crystals and return them to the CPU. Really fun game but challenging! Got stuck in campaign 2 but I keep trying! Mark of a good game or a lousy game player?!

Very challenging game, but quite addictive. I still pop this one in every now and then.. ;-)

"Captain Brutal" , unless... CHEAT MODE : 99 lives, cartridge. Change one byte offset $35B2 from $05 to $63. CHEAT MODE : unlimited jet pack fuel. Change two bytes offset $2274 from $CE to $AD this burned fuel without you moving, and, offset $2344 from $CE to $AD burned fuel when you moved. CHEAT MODE : unlimited time return trip. Change one byte at offset $34AE from $CE to $AD. Dramatic BEEPS still occur and will "rollover" in their speed. CHEAT MODE : increased jet pack fuel (instead of unlimited, or to see a different # on screen). Change one byte at offset $36BC from $C8 to $FB. This makes 250 replace the original 199. CHEAT MODE : increased return time limit (instead of unlimited, or to see a different # on screen). Change two bytes, offset $36CE from $20 to $32 is seen during demo and startup. Offset $3526 from $20 to $32 is the limit after grabbing the crystal at the far right. This makes 50 replace the original 32.

Though probably a low "9", this rating is for a boxed version. Loose cartridges of this game are also uncommon but the rarity would probably be between "7" and "8".

@Robert >So how rare is this? Pretty rare, if that 9 to the right is any indication.

So how rare is this? I have Captain Beeble and just played it the other night. It was the favorite of my neighborhood back in the 80s when I got it. I must say the old games look superb on the new TVs. Anyone got any info on how rare?

How many levels did this game have? I never got past the one with the moving "CPU" base. I believe it was the 5th or 6th level. Ah, memories :)

One of my all-time favorites. Had a (pirated) copy when I was a kid and I still play it twenty years later! Beating all of the levels reveals a new challenge - playing through the levels again, only this time, you die upon contact with the walls!

Very challenging and addictive. I recall one of the later levels had numerous large boulders moving up & down at high speeds that had to be navigated through - brutal.
