Hello, is this the version of Asteroids where the shots from the enemy spaceships bounce off the right and left edges?

How could this not have 10.0/10 rating? It actually is the arcade asteroids. Perfect.

You will explode in hyperspace if you are shooting at the same time. Don't shoot while hyper-spacing and if you are cheating with a rapid-fire device or joystick, let go of that fire button!

Excellent job. I wonder why this wasn't done sooner, the demand sure has always been there. Then I notice hi res graphics is in use to emulate the 1979 vector CRT, and "old" style artifacting in the U.S. looks awful on this game, on CRT'S thru the 1990s. There was no off switch for artifacting back then and Mac/PeeCee Atari emulators didn't mature until more recently, with let's say "new" artifact render style starting in 2006. I sense the play speed wobble up and down a little but doesn't bother me. Is it a bug or feature to randomly explode when using the hyperspace command? I thought you'd only explode if you warp directly onto an asteroid, but here I disintegrate for no apparent reason about a third of the time, and find myself accidentally hitting hyperspace control often. Could we make a preference to disable or remap the hyperspace button? Easy way to rack up a high score is to Not shoot clear all the asteroids, and instead do battle with flying saucers over and over. They're worth an order of magnitude more points especially the little guy who's good at not missing on his first shot.

Once you've had a few goes to get up to speed you soon realise Asteroids Emulator is a truly fantastic game! Superb artifacting on PAL/CRT too :) See how your score compares: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/210934-hsc10-round-6-catch-up-improve-scores-kaz-kompo/page__st__25#entry2738053 www.gwobby.webs.com

Incredible version of the original arcade roms playing on the Atari 8-bit. Simply stunning.
