Your task is to destroy the military bases. The base will protect itself with a force field and will send out defenders to stop you. Lunar designed and programmed the 2600 version for FOX. McWilliams did the 800 port for SIRIUS. While there are some differences, both games play similarly. The game is like an electronic nightmare. The electronic sounds are quite cool. And the game plays real well too! Difficulty raises with each round. Recommended!

Sirius had a deal where they developed games for the Atari 2600 - this is one of them. It's known as "Spacemaster X-7", a rare (or maybe even unreleased) game for the 2600. Similar to "Earth Dies Screaming" (another Sirius game made into an Atari 2600 game)

Fun game, and one interesting tidbit in 80's movie history, this is the game Wormser was playing in Revenge of the Nerds when they were doing the rollcall in the gym.

another "Star Castle" inspired shooter, which is a good thing. Think "Star Island" and "Yars' Revenge", but this Alpha Shield is much more varied in how difficulty increases. Top notch arcade sound fx. Author "David Lubar" did great things: Hacker, Master Of The Lamps, Ultima IV, Alpha Shield, and more. This one's a cartridge!

Not a bad game per se, but it DOES have some trippy sound effects. Give it a try.
