Version differences
The original release of Puffy's Saga is not STe compatible. This issue was fixed however when Hit Squad released a one disk budget version of the game.
In February 2025 Steve at AtariCrypt discovered a Blitter chip updated version of the game, that gets rid of the push scrolling, unfortunately familiar with many ST games.
Blitter version instead offers greater playability with proper scrolling.
It is yet unknown in which year the Blitter upgraded version was released as all three dumps made from retail versions we have tested do not activate Blitter.

Releases
The Atari ST version was released first on the 16 bit market in Europe. Published later for other 16 bit systems.
