I have just seen a video on this game by The No Swear Gamer (on YT), so I tried it. Well, the game's really good, but also hard AF, for a complete newbie like me. But definitely worth trying again and again - which is what I'll resort to doing just now..
It is available of the console war dlc for Atari 50. It is actually quite good fun.
I got this game along with a shirt. The shirt has long gone, but I played the game semi-regularly. Not as exciting as I would've liked, but still fun. Now I wish I'd taken a pic of me wearing that shirt!
I played this game A LOT in the early 80s. Sometimes I'd imagine myself either piloting an X-Wing or a Viper (if you know old Sci-Fi shows you'll get the reference). So glad to rediscover it.
Gratidão pela publicação.
Este sim é um dos jogos ATARI inesquecíveis!!!
Small observation: the “Glutton” cart I have (same as the first photo) is actually a hack of Activision’s Plaque Attack, not Fast Food. Even the back of the box shown on this page displays Plaque Attack screenshots.
Did you ever beat level 4 after 17 years, Pete?
This is my all time favorite paddle game for the 2600. To me it's much more entertaining than Breakout and no matter how good you get it can still frustrate the hell out me sometimes:)
The game's music is a song called "John Brown's Body", which was later used by Julia Ward Howe for the popular American Civil War song, "The Battle Hymm of the Republic" (also incorrectly referred to as "Glory Glory Hallelujah"). This game shows similarities with Dragon Defender (timer and lives). The Ghostbusters artwork used on the box and cart label was done by Duncan Eagleson and was originally used in an article in the March 1985 issue of Electronic Games magazine.
This version moves quite fast. It’s cool you can wrap around the screen without dying.
The 2 part harmony is especially impressive….surprisingly in tune.
The game plays well, too.
