Programmer Rob Zdybel made this remarkable demo in response to being asked to do a new football game for the Atari 2600 (which would eventually become RealSports Football). According to Zdbybel the only purpose of this demo was to show marketing the limits of what the 2600 could do. The demo shows 11 men on each side of the screen running in place and two lines representing yardage markers. A screenshot of this demo appeared in the September/October 1982 issue of Vidiot magazine, so someone (probably from Atari's marketing department) leaked it out. |
