Because the only practical way
to preserve software made
from ORIGINAL ST-disks is Pasti and
no one has written an STX-loader for ST.
Most of the copyprotection
free stuff is available on ST friendly
image formats.

There are already dozens of
sites who offer modified
versions of old ST-games.
Just search a bit and you'll find
plenty of them :)
