Are you bored with the plain old mouse pointer which runs across your
screen whenever using your ST? If so this is the program to change
all that. Using the simple interface you can have upto 40 different
mouse pointers available at any time and be able to create a small
program for each one, and then when the this program is executed from
desktop or the AUTO folder your mouse pointer will be transformed
into whatever you choose.
Using Mouse Matz is easy, but I will still explain the function of
each button just incase your new to the world of computers..
TEST - The mouse pointer will change into whichever one is
currently highlighted so you can see what the final result
will be like. Please note the graphical representation of
each pointer in the dialog box is only that of the mouse
mask, so if you have a different mouse data colour set
(see Mouse KA-Mania) you will not see it. To end the test
simply click any of the mouse buttons.
CLEAR - The highlighted mouse pointer will be cleared, you will be
asked if you are sure first.
LOAD DAT - Loads a Mouse-KA Mania DAT file into the highlighted
slot. If a mouse image is already in the slot it will be
replaced with the one loaded.
SAVE MTZ - Saves a file named MSE_MATZ.MTZ which will contain all the
mouse images presently loaded. If Mouse Matz then finds
this file next time it is ran all the images will be
reloaded.
MAKE PRG - Creates the small program which replaces the mouse
pointer. You are able to place this program into your
AUTO folder or run it from the desktop. It is XBRA
compliant and uses the ID of 'MMtz' If you try to name
the program MSE_MATZ.PRG it will be saved as AUTO_MSE.PRG
to avoide the main program file being overwritten. If you
press return on a blank filename nothing will be saved.
EXIT - Errmm, well.. exits the program.. :-)
To enable you to edit or create your own mouse pointers I have
included Mouse KA-Mania written by Charles F. Johnson, the excellent
program which originally inspired Mouse Matz.
