This is a DEMO version of Computer
Origami,so you will only find one
model available to animate and make.
Also the design package does not save
or print out designs.
This program has been designed to
make the art of Origami(Paper folding)
easier to follow than some instuction
forms around now.On the full package
there are ten models to choose from
and if enough people buy Computer
Origami then more model disks will
soon become available.

****** A bit about the program ******

The program took over a year to
develope and is the first program that
we have written together or on our own.
The largest headache that we had
to face was the quality of the
digitising. The way that we had to do
it was by digitising on the Amiga and
transferring the images over to the ST.
In doing so eight colours were lost,
so the images lost some of their
quality but they were still better
than that achieved on the ST alone.
All that was needed then was to
squeeze over 500 frames of animation
plus 10 model plans onto one disk and
we were there.Anyway thats enough
dribble lets move on to how you use
the program.....

****** How to use the program ******

The program was designed for easy
use and all options are made by icons.
The program has two main sections
    1) The main program.
    2) The design package.

****** The main Program ******

01 - Quit program.

02 - Goto design package.

03 - Sound on/off.

04 - Credits.

05 - Gives a 3D view of the model
     being made.

06 - Go back to start of model.

07 - Select which set of models to
choose from.Either set I or II.

08 To 12 - Five model icons to choose.

The animation window is where you
watch the model folding and also where
WARNING screens come up.
When a Warning does come up press
LEFT mouse button to carry on your
action or RIGHT mouse button to
cancel what you are doing.

****** The Design Package ******

The design package is a straight
forward affair you should be able to
work it out easily enough.
When you load a model it`s plan is
automatically loaded into the design
package ready for you to print it out.
The plans are coded so that you know
which way up to place it before you
begin to create your model. The plan
will have either dots or lines along
one edge - this is to signify which
edge is the top! If your plan has DOTS
then this means place the plan face
DOWN with the dots at the top.If your
plan has LINES then place your plan
face UP with the lines at the top.
The package only prints out in
black & white (sorry !) but the idea
is for kids to colour the plan in by
hand before making the model. There is
a save fascility in the design package so that you can save your
designs and print them out in colour in another art package.

Well that`s about all you need to
know really, anything else you should be able to work out on your own.
We wish you hours of fun using
this program and hope to bring you
lots more or our new and original
ideas. BYE !

Advice !

Always keep you paper the same way as
you see it on the screen, and always
follow the moves exactly the way see
them. There are icons for going forward
and back in normal and slow motion so
make good use of them if you have to.

            GOOD LUCK !

**** How to obtain a full Version ****

package.
