Train Game (The)

INSTRUCTIONS

                       PROGRAM INFORMATION


This game was designed to be used by children between the ages of 
about four and seven together with adult supervision.


Level 1.    Counting Up To Four.
         A locomotive pulling a number of carriages will appear 
moving from left to right on the screen. When the train stops the 
child counts the number of carriages and clicks on the correct 
number using the left mouse key.


Level 2.   Counting Up To Ten.
         Similar to level 1 except that the engine will now pull 
up to 10 trucks, and the answer must be typed in using the number 
keys followed by the return key to confirm the choice.


Level 3.   Addition Up To Ten.
         An engine will appear on the top track pulling up to 
five trucks. These must be counted and the number entered using 
the number keys followed by the return key. 
This procedure will repeat itself for a train on the bottom track. 
When both are correct the child will be asked to type in how many 
trucks there are altogether.


Level 4.  More Advanced Addition.
         Simple addition sums will appear towards the bottom of 
the screen, they must be answered correctly to see the resulting 
animation. Again the numbner keys and retern key should be used.
