Two different versions of this game exist. One shows a (c) 1981 ATARI, INC. title screen, the other doesn’t.
There is code in the program that displays reserve ship icons, but it was disabled.
The Atari International Asteroids Tournament held in Washington D.C. on November 14, 1981 was won by the then 16 year old Andrew Breyer from the USA, scoring 142,910 points and winning $5000.
