One sunny afternoon in the land of Morlic, the children were
playing in Grannies Garden when the Wicked Witch came and took
them to her castle. Granny dropped her teapot and ran outside
just in time to see the children sat on the back of the Witches
 broomstick screaming for help.

In this game, you have been lumbered with the task of destroying
the Wicked Witch and rescuing the children. You will have to
overcome various puzzles before you gain entrance to the castle.

So lets begin our quest. Granny wants the children home in time for tea.

*** MURDER ON THE DAIRY EXPRESS ***

                    *** WRITTEN BY JAMES L. MATHEWS ***

*** WITH THE ST ADVENTURE CREATOR ***

*** THIS GAME IS FREEWARE AND MAY BE COPIED ***

There's been a murder...The first of what is thought to be a whole series
of murders...On milkmen!

Already, one milkman has been killed in a terrible, terrible way and now,
as D.S. Silly, it is your job to try and solve yet another crime. Armed
with nothing but your pet gerbil, it's gonna be tough!

You take control of D.S. Silly through the input of text. The following
commands will help you in your adventure (the words in brackets are the
abbreviations that can be used):

South (S)
North (N)
East (E)
West (W)
Talk
Examine (Exam)
Quit
Inventory (Inv)
Look (L)
Get
Get all
Drop
Drop all

And so on. Simply put across what you want to do as simply and shortly as
possible. The parser used in this game is quite complex so should
understand most of what you type in. Phrases like this will easily be
accepted:

Talk to man.
Talk to member of staff.
Examine teapot.
Climb ladder.
Jump out of window.
Get T.V.

The game starts off very, very easy but it won't be long until you find
yourself totally stuck. I am not going to offer ANY help, all I'm going to
say is think about it very laterally and logically and do the most obvious.
Your job is to talk to people and deduce who is the murderer. You must get
proof, examples of where he has been, what he used to kill his victim and
so on. When you think you have enough proof and evidence to put whoever
the murderer is, away in prison, you must find him\her and track him\her
down. Once you have captured the person who you think is the murderer, you
must find the police station and take that person there. Then, providing
you have enough evidence, you will be able to take him to court and you
will have to go through a court case. At this point, you will be in
control of two characters, D.S. Silly and a barrister and you will have to
prove that whoever it is you have captured is the murderer. If and when
you get the person convicted finally, you will have won the game and saved
a lot of milkmen from a dreadful death.

THIS GAME IS FREEWARE AND MAY NOT BE COPIED
           ************************************************

NOTE: Please ignore the message about registering in this game.

Silly Reels is a fruit machine game. The object is simply to make as
much money as you can with the limited amount of tokens you have.

On the title screen press the left mouse button to play. You are
presented with the main screen. At the bottom right hand side you
will see three buttons.

START COLLECT GAMBLE

The START button is just simply to start the reels turning. You'll
notice at the top right hand corner there is a row of tokens. The
gold ones are worth ten credits and the silver ones are worth five.
To insert a token click on START with the left mouse button to insert
a gold token or the right mouse button to insert a silver token.

When the reels stop you may get the chance to either gamble or
collect your winnings. If you do get a winning row then two of the
numbers will start to flash. The number in the middle of the two
flashing numbers is the number of pounds you have won and clicking on
COLLECT will add that total to your winnings. If you wish to try and
win more then click on GAMBLE. If the lower flashing number
highlights then you will win that amount....unless it falls on LOSE.
If you get the higher number then two higher numbers will start
flashing. From here you may wish to gamble higher or just collect.
The GAMBLE and COLLECT buttons will flash when its time to use them.

If you get to 200 (the top score) then all the numbers will highlight
and you will win 200 pounds.

Every now and again the HOLD buttons will start to flash. Just above
each one is a reel of the fruit machine. Clicking on the HOLD button
with the left mouse key will stop that reel turning when you click on
START. The START button flashes when ready for clicking on.

Just above the reels in the top left hand corner is a box showing how
much you have won in pounds. When this gets more than 990 pounds then
it will reset to nought. Don't worry because the amount you've won is
held in memory and all added up at the end of the game.

The game is only finished when you have used all your tokens up. When
clicking on a token it will vanish and you will get that number of
credits it has. The next token will not vanish until you have used up
your credits on the last one.

We would like to thank Tony Greenwood for his help with this game.
The code has been written by myself and Tony with Tony doing most of
the hard work. The graphics are by Tonesoft of Silly Software.

Thats it.......have fun

Deano
