What's the best way to scan the box covers? Scanner lid cannot be closed when the box is in.

Hi,
Good way is to scan with lid open. Results get even better if you can put a dictionary or similar heavy item into the box (when it has two parts) so it is as flat as possible. 150dpi, minimum of 800 pixels wide and descreen-option enabled if possible. Thanks :)
