WEEKLY REPORT for Eric Smith Week ending: 9/08/95
Jaguar 2 -------- Tracked down and reported some bugs in the new blitter.
Added anti-aliasing to the renderer.
Tested the mixing unit, in both RGB and CRY modes.
Black Ice/White Noise --------------------- Wrote a text viewing application to be used in the online encyclopedia and e-mail reading portions of the game.
Gamefilm -------- Received font artwork from Eric Elliott. Converted these into a format the generic font engine can handle.
Misc ---- Discussed game ideas, particularly with reference to Jaguar 2 hardware abilities.
Met with Pilgrim Baird to discuss preliminary Jaguar 3 ideas.
WORK PLANNED FOR NEXT WEEK
Jaguar 2 -------- Test cross fading between pictures.
Test texture mapping from internal RAM.
Look for and report whatever bugs I can find in the new hardware.
Black Ice/White Noise --------------------- Finish the text reader application, assist with integrating it into the game.

Separated JagII specific code that had been introduced for testing.
Jaguar 2 -------- Tested cross fading, in both CRY and RGB modes.
Black Ice/White Noise --------------------- Assisted with integrating the text viewer into the game.
Fixed some bugs in the text viewer.
Gamefilm -------- Added the capability to mask colors to the font engine, so that a white font could be re-used in other colors.
Misc ---- Discussed game ideas, particularly with reference to Jaguar 2 hardware abilities.

Begin design and implementation of a seperate geometry engine to run in the RCPU or DSP.

Jaguar II --------- Tested to see whether Oberon had fixed some of the known bugs in Tom.
Black Ice/White Noise --------------------- Added new features to the text viewer, and fixed some bugs.
Misc ---- Worked on "Secrets of the Pyramid" game spec.
Met with Larry Pacey to discuss platform game technical issues.
Met with Pilgrim Beart to discuss Jaguar 3 technical issues.
