DELUXE NOSTRAM (THE ONE MEG VERSION)
The warrior fell through the rocky ground.His eyes slammed shut and
when he awoke a tower lie before him,the sky above still rumbling.The
warrior had the wings of flight and the tower of NOSTRAM 93 was no
more but before lie him something else.
Back in the village of Nostram a local warrior,thinking that no
one as returned from the tower steps forward to conquer the
monolith.He does not know of the warrior that as now twice conquered
it and defeated the evil gods.Stepping into the darkness he believes
he will defeat the gods and return with the wings of flight.
The gods extend the tower as he steps within and the doors slam
behind him.Shall you now join the other warrior in time.

SETTING THE STORY STRAIGHT
--------------------------
Nostram,the shareware game,set you as the warrior against the
monolith of Nostram to return with the wings of flight.As you exit the
tower with the wings you knew you would return.While walking back to
the village of Nostram you fall asleep and awake 15 years later,
having not aged a day.The tower as been rebuilt and you back to
destroy the gods again.In NOSTRAM '93(available only from Merlin
PD)you must once again defeat the gods.When you did defeat them though
you were sent some were else,before another tower.
In DELUXE NOSTRAM you play a new warrior who as waited to enter for
many a year and now intends to defeat the evil gods.
This fully one meg version pits you against new
puzzles,traps,monsters and 70 rooms of true classic NOSTRAM action.

NOSTRAM - THE CULT
------------------
This read me file needn't talk about how to play the game,thats in
the HELP.PRG,but I would like to talk about NOSTRAM.The idea was
concieved by IAN WILKINSON while he was a member of a group called
GRAFIC VISIONS.When I (Daniel Walton) wrote to him in 1990 and sent
him some examples of my work he replied saying that my compnay
(SURESOFT) and his company (GRAFIC VISIONS) should write a game
together.
NOSTRAM came from the prophet NOSTRADAMOS and also from the name of
the ship in ALIEN - NOSTRAMO.The game idea came from many games.Every
one says "it's like gods" but a lot of games are like gods and Nostram
is like a lot of other games.We were influenced by Gods,Manic
Miner,Jet Set Willy and alot of other games but essentially Nostram is
our own work and we are very proud of it.The computer world took to it
straight away.After a week of work on it and the break up of Grafic
Visions and me splitting from SureSoft POWERFIST came to be.
The release date of NOSTRAM was December 1st 1992.This was Nostram
Day.Merlin PD asked us to give them the exclusive rights to the sequel
- NOSTRAM '93 (THE ONE MEG & HALF MEG VERSIONS) and we did.
DELUXE NOSTRAM was being planned while both the other were being
written and I have finally finished it.The Nostram games - The
original Nostram (with half meg demo),Nostram '93,Nostram '93 (half
meg-exactly the same as the one meg version) and now the one meg
version of DELUXE NOSTRAM (and soon the half meg version - which is a
totally different tower) are getting a cult following.Please continue
to Support POWERFIST LICENCEWARE.
We do have the half meg version of this to follow (which is very
different in design) and maybe even NOSTRAM 2 - at last.The true
sequel would be quite different to the others but it will have that
Nostram feel.

The POWERFIST LICENCWARE
Disk 1 :- SNOTT 93 (1 meg) & PDOS V1.3
Snott was previously a commercial game released by Graphic
Visions (now part of POWERFIST).This updated version is faster,easier
to play and overall it is a exellent game.Your aim as SNOTT,a man made
creation to save the earth,is to collect the orbs from each level
which threaten to destroy your creators home land.With four complete
levels of platform capers and hidden bonuses this game is a must for
collections.
Also on the disk is the full version of the POWERFIST DISK
OPERARTING SYSTEM.Within this utility you can control your disks by
movement of folders,files etc,text options,powerformatting and much
more.
DISK 2 :- GHALFA 1
During your journey home from the space crusades your ship has
crashed over a desolate planet - or so you thought.The remains of a
cruiser lie across the land and within the fuel you need to escape You
must race through the ship to the fuel stores at the heart of the
carrier.An easy task if it wasn't were the aliens that breeded
there.In space no one can hear you scream - or so they say.
Includes the original Snott.
DISK 3 :- SEVEN GALAXIES
Its centuries since you were closed down.You are the cleaning robot
of a long abandoned ship floating through space without a crew.When
you are awakened to clean up the ship you soon relise its not the
centuries of dirt that will be the the problem but the resident alien
within each level and the hordes they have brought with them.
A quick bit of laser practise though and off in a overhead romp
around blasting the crap out of everything that moves.This is the
biggest game to date written by Powerfist and the puzzles to solve
within are awsome.
Includes :Help program and POWERSHOW.
DISK 4 :- HUNCHY 1066
For all traditionals who love hunchback but want a bit more action
we go back in time but taking with us a bit of artilery for a
friend.This sequel to our superbly taken shareware game includes more
traps,more bonuses,more screens and even more fun than before!
Includes HUNCHY 2010(Extended version).
DISK 5 :- DELUXE NOSTRAM ( THE 1 MEG VERSION )
No introduction is needed for the concept but with even newer
graphics,creatures,puzzles and a tower that is nearly double in size
to that of Nostram this is unmissable.Over seventy screens.
Includes:Help program.
DISK 6 :- DELUXE NOSTRAM ( THE HALF MEG VERSION )
This is for all half meggers and it is by no means cut down,with
loads of rooms,creatures and some exellent puzzles to solve if you
have then the one meg version then this is honestly also worth
purchasing.

DISK 7 :- ARMOURED OPERATION
A blood thirsty game if ever I saw one,lead several squadrens of
tanks into battle against suicidal soilders.They run at you from every
angle spraying you with bullets,with machine guns and rifles - some
without guns.But with your armoured tank you dispatch of them through
your gun or through your tracks.A combination of chaos engine and
llamatron make this unmissable.Along with the strategy element this
makes for an exellent game.Includes exellent sound and a superb
soundtrack.
DISK 8 :-THE GAME ROUTINES DISK & STOS GUIDE
For all budding programmers Daniel Walton present the STOS
programming guide with complete routines for all types of games and
all aspects of gaming.Each routine is fulling documented and with a
full tutorial taking people through every aspect this could turn some
one with little knowledge into a member of POWERFIST.
DISK 9 :- LORD RAMSEY IN THE 25th CENTURY
The intrepid explorer (last seen in intervisions adventure(now
part of POWERFIST)) is at it again.This time he has catapulted himself
into the 25th century only to crash on a space station.In this cartoon
style caper you must dodge martians and use your equipment to the best
of your knowledge to make it to escape from the station - beware of
the things that stand in your way.In true DIZZY style,this is the
first of many RAMSEY games.
DISK 10 :-BILLY BAKER IN GHOST WORLD
When Billy awakes to discover his breadcakes missing he heads
straight for castle eerie.The wicked ghosts of the castle have
attempted to bring chaos upon the village of Billeville by stealing
the breadcakes so that no one in the village will have bread for the
day.It is your job as Billy to venture within and reclaim your sticks
in a platformy,laddery type of way.With superb cute graphics and
exellent design this game is truely brilliant.
DISK 11 :- SNOTT 93 (half meg) & PDOS V1.5
The fully half meg version of SNOTT 93 (near identical to the 1
meg version) with 4 levels of original platform capers.Also includes a
newer version of PDOS (the indespensible utility).
DISK 12 :- THE COMPLETE HUNCHY SOURCE CODE DISK
With no more Hunchy games planned POWERFIST release the source
code for HUNCHY 2010,HUNCHY 1066 and the extended version of HUNCHY
2010 all on one disk.The fully documented disk is a valuable piece of
any programmers collection.All source code is in STOS format and all
graphics are included.

POWERFIST LICENCEWARE DISK 14 - CASTLE CAPERS.
Castle Capers is a wonderful platform game.Eight bit playability
with 16 bit presentation and sound.Including speech and a playability
rivaled only by the spectrum classics - Manic Miner.Castle Capers is
so big that you will be playing well into the night.If you've finished
both Nostrams and Location Universe 3D.Castle Capers is simply
wonderful.We may well see more of Paul Abraities in the future.
