                    Darts !
                    12/4/87

This program is an electonic dart board written in GFA basic.

The aiming system is similar to those found in ACCESS SOFTWARES'S
10TH FRAME and LEADER BOARD.

Double click on Darts.prg
Type in the number of players (1-9)
Each player will get three darts to 'throw' per turn.
The computer will keep track of who's turn it is but will not keep score.
(there are too many types of games that can be played on a dart board)

The Control:
Useing the control is hard at first but will get easier with practice.
There are two scales at the lower right of the screen, a vertical and
horizontal scale.

When you are ready to throw, press and hold down the right mouse button
and you will se a line begin to climb up the vertical scale.
When it gets to where you want the vertical position of the dart to go,
let the mouse button go.

At this point a thinner line will continue on up the vertical scale and
continue around the corner and then along the horizontal scale.
When the line gets to the horizontal position that you want the dart
to go to then press the right mouse button. (you dont have to hold it down)
The dart will then be thrown at the dartboard.

The score will be shown at the upper right corner of the screen along
with the name of who's throwing.
After three darts have been thrown the total for the three darts will be
displayed.

After a persons turn is over press the space bar to continue on to the
next persons turn.
If the Escape key is press here then you will be back at the
"how many players" promt.
If you press the Escape key here too then the game will abort.

I had a lot of trouble programming sound so if anyone can upload a demo
on how to use GFA sound I would be grateful.

Mike Hughes.
