Doppel-Ganger Adventures Incorporated Present :-

                    The Doppel-Ganger's Back Catalogue!!

A series of vintage Adventures written and produced by ....

                             The Doppel-Ganger..

        Dear Readers,

Hi there, Doppel-Ganger here, a certified (certifiable?)

legend in his own lunchtime, operating from deepest darkest

        Yorkshire.

These adventures I bring you represent my "Back

Catalogue", Adventures I wrote some time ago on other

machines and have just converted across to the ST, and are, I

hope, in some small way, a taste of things to come..

But first, just to set the scene...

                    Crowley's House.
                        The story so far..

When you arrived at Old Hall House, you had no idea of what
was to take place. An old friend had invited you over for the
weekend, but had disappeared in the night. The only clue you
could find was a note, which read :-

"I have discovered that this house was once owned by
Aleister Crowley, and used by him for satanic rites. I have
also reason to believe that an occult treasure of Crowley's
is somewhere here, and I must find it!.."

You rememeber that your friend had long been interested in
the study of Demonology, but you had not believed things had
        gone that far..

Can Evil be inherent in a House? Could Powerful forces
have tainted the very stones.. What IS the secret of
Crowley's House, and what must you do with it.......

                         Prisoner of the Dark Pearl

Instructions for Prisoner of the Dark Pearl are contained
within the game itself. It's loosely inspired by a short
story by Carl Jacobi, published in the collection
"Revelations in Black", which I think is now out of print..

                       - - - - - - - - .. - - - - - - - -

Crowley's and Prisoner both represent my previous blend of
'Supernatural' adventures. In Crowley's, assorted strange
creatures of the darkness will confront you, and to repel
them you must use the 'traditional' methods associated with
each creature. Prisoner of the Dark Pearl has none of these
random visitations, but sets you under attack by Vampires and
in peril of your very life.. In neither game is the simple
greed motif (i.e. collecting treasure) featured in the plot.
Prisoner of the Dark Pearl also has a strict time limit set,
but there are several ways to survive and kill the vampires.

I preferred Alton Towers - Terry Wogan..
                    Disneyworld? What's that? - The Doppel-Ganger..
I love it when a plan comes together -
                                           John 'Hannibal' Smith...

"Hi there - Doppel-Ganger here! Just thought I'd drop you a
note to say I've gone into the entertainment and leisure
business. I've just opened my own Theme park! Not quite
completed yet, so why not come over and visit me and the guys

        Notes:-
Doppyworld represented the first "Doppymation" adventure,
a prototype Character Interaction system to populate the
adventure with reasonable characters who can take part in the
program and help, hinder, or amuse you with their behaviour.

The characterisations in Doppyworld are not, admittedly,
up to my later standards, but it is quite amusing to watch
        them going about their business.

Coming Soon from Doppel-Ganger Adventures Incorporated..

Here is where I tell you what I've got in the pipeline for
        the immediate future..

"Asylum - Follow the Cheese and Pickle Sandwich"..

Representing the final Back Catalogue offering of my
previous adventures, Asylum features myself, the eccentric
Prudence Nausea, and half a dozen other characters. Asylum
also has one of the best versions of Doppymation, where the
characters all have quite strong personalities, and
individuality which, in some cases, even surprised me!

                       "Doppy & Pru's Summer Holiday"

A 100% new offering, sequel to Asylum, set in a
picturesque seaside village where all is maybe not how it
        seems...!

        Doppel-Ganger's Adventure Gazette.. Have fun!
