Finally, it is here : Animalsofts latest and definetely greatest shareware
game (yet) has arrived ! ! !
You are the lucky owner of the latest product of one of the worlds best
Atari st - shareware producers : Animalsoft !

This game is a puzzlegame...No ! don't run away ! It's not a rip-off of
some existing formula (say collumns or tetris), it's a 100% original ,
state-of-the-art puzzler , that borrows from no-one ! !
Okay, I'll stop the bragging. But you should play this game once, as I'm
sure you'll dig it.
Now , this doc is here to explain the game to you, and to tell you some
more about the Shareware concept, and how this is used with all Animalsoft
games.

COLOR CLASH - THE GAME
I will not use any more space to explain the most innovative plot to you,
just take time to watch the demo .
Now , let's start with the title-screen.
Two options here ; Play and Password.
Taking Play starts you off on the first level,Password let's you enter
a password , enabling you to start at the level you last tried to tackle.
Ah! reading the manual already proves it's worth : You'll soon notice
entering the password is a little tedious, so we have included a routine
the speeds the process up: simply type the password in trough the key-
board !
Now , you took play, and the "pre-play" screen comes up. Here you can find
that levels password, and your remaining lives.
If you find out you've chosen the wrong level, pressing returns you
to the demo.
on joystick, and the game begins......
The objective is simple - collect all flies on screen with Antonius, your
favourite chameleon.
Controlling Anton is simple too ;
Left makes him move left, Right moves him right.

Here comes the joke : Your chameleon can change colour : when in a certain
colour, he has a special skill, see below :

Antonius is : His special skill is:

   Yellow Jumping.
   Green Destroying baddies and blocks.
Blue Moving blocks with his big tongue.
Red Inflating himself (once) so he can fly.

Now, using your special skill is easy meat too: press .

Your chameleon can only become GREEN,BLUE OR RED by moving over the
correspondingly coloured cards, that stick out of the scenery .

If you want to return to the colour Yellow, all you have to do is push
on your joystick, to enter the 'menu'
Now , the action is paused and you should look up at the top bar of the
screen. Here you will find three words : NOT , DEF and KIL.
You can choose the word you want by scrolling it (using the joystick)
to the leftmost spot of the bar and then pressing .

NOT means nothing (meaning going back to playing without any changes)
DEF means default (return to Yellow "mode")
KIL means kill, or suicide, for those times you've messed the level up.

Note that down on the joystick during the 'menu' has the same effect as
choosing NOT.

There. There are some other cards sticking out of the scenery (besides the
colour ones) , but you'll have to find their use out yourself !

To use your special ability, press . Make sure you practice your
jumps and perfect you mechanics , before you try to play the game out.

Using the special abilities :

YELLOW - Press fire and he jumps. Press fire while holding the joystick
right, and he'll jump to the right ( same for left).

Now, you should be able to make the following jumps :
(ranging from easy (left) to hard (right)
                           2 2
                          ** **
        chaml 2 chaml ** chaml 2 chaml **
         **--**       **--==         **--==--**            **--==--
         **--**       **--==         **--==--**            **--==--

The ** are blocks, and the -- and == are empty spaces.
          **                     --     ==

( A quick note : Make sure you use a sturdy joystick for this game, )
( preferably microswitched, otherwise you'll find yourself entering the )
( menu at the most inconveniable times you can think of ! )

The number two is the place of arrival. Keep trying , they are all
      possible ! !

RED - Pressing fire, Antonius inflates himself, and will start to float to
the top of the screen. You can still move left and right.
Antonius will stay in his inflated state, until you press fire again
he will then return yellow and fall to the ground.

BLUE- This one is a bit tricky if you're new to the game :
Press and Antonius pops out his tongue. Now release the button
at once, even before the tongue hit's the block. (if you keep
pressed, the tongue will go back to Antonius the second it hit's the
      block.)
Now, the tongue is stuck to the block and you can start moving it
      to the desired position.
(another quick hint: if you are trying to fit a block for a future
jump, try making it the easiest jump possible. check the examples
       given above )
when it's set, press again, and Antonius will suck his super
      thing back in.

GREEN-No sweat here, just press when the object you want to destroy
is within an block's distance of your rear. The tail shoots out and
hit's the object, instantly destroying it. (if not, adjust your
      position)

Okay.... I guess we've covered the game now,- here comes the bit you've
waited for :

HERE ARE THE ADDITIONALLY OBTAINABLE ANIMALSOFT BABES :

1- FATEMASTER (RATED 81% IN ST FORMAT)
2- GOBBLIN'4 (LITTLE JUMP'N'RUN)
3- SIM PIG (PARODY ON SIM CITY )
4- PSYCHO PIG 2 (SUPERDUPER 2 DISK EXTRAVANGANZIC JUMP'N'BLAST)

Here's the deal : you send us 5 pounds , and you get one of the four
titles.
(exept for psycho pig 2: you have to send two double-sided disks along,
whereas the cost of the disk we would take upon us is used to pay the
 postage.
You could send an additional two pounds instead of the disks, ofcourse,
but make sure you always send us banknotes, coins are liable to get
lost in the post, and besides, they can't be exchanged in holland !)

May I note here you would be best off with number one or four.

BUT:If you are a really big Animalsoft fan and are just absolutely sure
you'll like 'FateMaster' (because you'll order that) as much as you
like ColorClash, you could send another 5 pounds along to register that
one straight away, and receive another game (psycho 2 rules don't apply
anymore too!), plus a gorgeous Manual (and we're not talking one lousy
photocopied piece of paper) and sealed solution at it ! ! !

Okay, got that ? Then here comes the adress to write all those encouraging
registrations to :

                               Animal Soft
                             Rubensstraat 54
                            1077 MT Amsterdam
                                 Holland

Any suggestions or ideas for future games are ofcourse welcome too ! ! !

If you want to send your dosh by bank, we have an account you can deposit
it on at the national dutch postalgiro (or another terrible translation)

        No. 6330247 , registered to a certain Mr. F.Muller.

Okeydokey........ that just about ends this doc, I guess.........
