    Hi THERE!!

Finally its here! CAPY, game of games ;).. After lotsa work and even
more lazyness we finaly succed.. Thx to my injured arm, so have time
to finish it... There is surely some bugs left, so please let us know
bout them, so we can catch them in next year or two... ENJOY!!!

CAPY MUST be started in 640*480*16 VGA. On RGB u must use some kind od
screen expander (blowup, screenblaster, bla bla) and set 640*480*16 before
u run game...

We considered 256 col version but all we would gain it would be nicer
background picture(s) and a lot bigger memory consumption + game would
not run on TT. ST High version will be possible if there will be enough
interest.. (fast hack to ST High already works)

CAPY MENU:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Menu u may select folowing options:

F1 = New Game (well New game or if u load level).
F2 = Back to Game (In case u jump from game to menu (RMB).
F3 = Load WORLD (CAPY is designed for easy loading some kind
of "scene" files, because registered users
will receive GFX and Level editors).
F4 = Load Game (u may save your current position in *.GAM .
file and load it in game here. After that u
      	  	        must start new game (F1)).
F5 = Save Game (Save game :) It saves current level).
  F6    = Music        (CHIP/MOD/NONE)
F7 = Effects (ON/OFF) When u choose CHIP musix effects are
automaticaly set to OFF, becasue we have some
little probs with effects and CHIP musix.
F8 = Hi Scores Displays Hi Score list.
  F9    = Greetings     Displays Greetings.
F10 = QUIT Quit to desktop.

CAPY IN GAME OPTIONS:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPACE = Pause (Game jumps to menu, where u may save that
level, or change sound setups, start new game
 		     	Resume to Game with F2)
  * = Suicide (In case u get stuck, u must kill yourself.
you will lost one live and had to start level
                     	again

CAPY GAME FEATURES:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We must admit GFX file is a bit messed, so the only way to make new GFX
is that u draw tiles over existing ones.. (sorry for that folks - some
tiles must be on exact position in GFX file and those are already drawn in
sample file). That way u will know what tile will actualy "do" in game.

Here is little description of some special tiles in game, to make your
life easier, or worse as u want :).

*Slider tiles* (tiles with blue arrows)
--------------

When u step on those tiles u are pushed in direction of arrows, if wall is
after slider u will get killed.

*Moving tiles* (tiles with arrows relief)
--------------
Those tiles only go in direction of arrows. If tile is 2-way or 4-way u
may steer it. But if tile stop on end of screen, u still may fell down if
move in wrong direction.

*Skull tiles*
-------------
Hm no need to explain that i guess :))).

*Spring tiles*
--------------
They "throw2 u 4 tiles further. If u hit wall u will be killed.

*Exit tile*
----------
Warp u to the next level.

*Scrappy tiles*
---------------
Those tilles break down when u step on them... U have 1-2 seconds before
they break completely.

And there are also "pushing" tiles.. those may be pushed arround and
fit into holes, etc... If they have icons of special tiles, they convert
to those when pushed into holes..... Finaly, there are few elements in
game too:

*Clock*
-------
If u pick up the clock the remaining time will not be calculated in
points, but it will be added to next level time.

*Little CAPY*
-------------
  Increases your life for 1.

*Candy*
-------
Will add 200 to your score.

*Fashing "coil"*
----------------
Will increase your score by 500

CAPY EDITOR(S):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Im not good at writting docs so ill describe it just briefly...
CAPY editor(s) are level/gfx/font editors in one app. *HELP* is most
important key, because it switch to main menu screen where can u:

Load/Save WORLDs (WORLDs are folders where u have your own
graphics file (RAW), levels, menu/game/hiscore musix
(GT2), Background picture (RAW), Palette and 16*16
Font (RAW). There ALSO must be *.DEF file which may
be in any format, but we suggest that is text file,
where u can put info and story bout your WORLD...)

 Cut/Copy/Paste/Etc Levels
 Load/Save Graphics (RAW)
 Load/Save Background (RAW)
 Call Editor (GFX or FONT)
Toggle Music MOD/CHIP/NONE (Editor plays GAME.GT2 module)
 GoTo Level
 GoTo First Level
 GoTo Last Level
 Enter Level Time

In LEVEL EDITOR screen u also have few key commands:

B Set START point (CAPY will apears here).
 CURSORS UP/DOWN levels, FIRST/LAST level.
 ESC QUIT to desktop.
 SPACE GFX screen toggle.
 M MOD/CHIP/NONE musix swap.
 HELP MAIN MENU.

Im sure i forgot something :))

Using the EDITOR:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We tried to make work as easy is possible.... When u start editor
it ask u for *.DEF file and after for CAPYLVL.LVL file. Curent level
is shown on full screen... If u press SPACE, GFX will show up and
here u now select item... then just PUT item on screen with mouse..

GFX/FONT editors are small paint proggies... u swap GFX/EDITOR screen
with button, not SPACE as in LEVEL editor... If u click on COLOR BAR
with RIGHT mouse key u will be able to change current color.

THERE ARE SOME SPECIAL TILES, WHICH MUST BE ON SAME PLACE! Because
of that we included sample "WORLD" folder so u will load it and then
save to OWN WORLD! In sample GFX only those tiles will exist which
MUSTN'T be moved!

To create new WORLD u should do:

  Create new folder.
Copy content of "SMPWORLD" in your folder
Copy GT2 files too (your own or those from existing WORLDs).
  Run editor and load SMPWORLD.DEF.

*.DEF file MUST have 8 characters in name!!!!!!
*.DEF is text file and u may put WORLD info in.

Quick note bout GFX file format:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tiles are tilled in lines... line under tile is reserved for mask.
first 3 (6) lines are reserved for FLOOR, next 2 for OBSTACLES. Last two
lines are reserved for ROOFS.. SOME of tiles/elements have fixed position
and those are already drawn in sample.. UMAY change their shape but NOT
their position!!

From now on only boundary is your imagination ;))

                                                           SWE/YesCREW
LIMITATIONS:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

U MUST be in 640*480*16 reslution... If u have RGB only u MUST use
blowup software for enhance resolution. On TT u have CHIP sound only
and effects interacts with musix :((. Because of that, effects are
automaticaly switched off when u select CHIP musix (u must turn them on
manualy).

CAPY STATUS:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

CAPY is FAIWARE.. Package has no limitation whatsoever, but we do
expect money/postcards/stuff from U, espacialy "WORLDS" u will create,
to share with other CAPY owners (we will put them on CAPY section on our
pages).
