   BYTE-MAN INSTRUCTIONS
                         -----------------------
 TO LOAD BYTE-MAN DOUBLE CLICK ON "BYTE_MAN.PRG". THIS GAME IS A DERIVATIVE OF THE GOLDEN OLDIE PAC-MAN. I'VE TRIED TO MAKE BYTE-MAN AS DIFFERENT AS I CAN BY INCLUDING SIMULTANIOUS TWO PLAYER ACTION, TWENTY DIFFERENT SCREENS, WIERD MONSTERS AND VARIOUS BONUSES. TO COMPLETE A LEVEL YOU MUST EAT ALL THE DOTS.
IF YOU COMPLETE IT QUICK ENOUGH YOU WILL RECIEVE A BONUS. VARIOUS ITEMS CAN BE PICKED UP WHICH ARE IN BUBBLES. ANYTHING ELSE THAT MOVES WILL KILL YOU ON
CONTACT! IN THE BUBBLES ARE :

x2 = BONUS x 2
x3 = BONUS x 3
10 = 10 POINTS
20 = 20 POINTS
50 = 50 POINTS
YELLOW BYTE-MAN = EXTRA LIFE
WHITE BYTE-MAN = STEAL LIFE FROM OPPONENT (2 PLAYER MODE)
SKULL = DEATH (DON'T MISTAKE FOR WHITE BYTE-MAN!)

TO PLAY A ONE PLAYER GAME PRESS FIRE ON THE JOYSTICK IN PORT 1
TO PLAY A TWO PLAYER GAME PRESS FIRE ON THE JOYSTICK IN PORT 0
BYTE-MEN MOVE ON 16 BLOCK BOUNDARYS SO IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE DIRECTION YOU MUST KEEP THE JOYSTICK PUSHED IN THAT DIRECTION FOR A SMALL WHILE. NORMAL JOYSTICK MOVEMENTS APPLY - UP FOR UP, LEFT FOR LEFT ETC.
P.S. WATCH OUT FOR THE GUIDED MISSILE! IT GOES AFTER WHOEVER'S CLOSEST IN A
TWO PLAYER GAME.
