Like many, I didn't care much for Cybermorph when I first played it. So I wasn't expecting much from BattleMorph but I'm glad I didn't write it off as it blew me away.
Everything is improved (well, I'd prefer Skylar to still be green instead of blue), from the graphics to the sound (The landscape looks better and some things have textures. Transitions between water is w/o load times; The soundtrack is amazing) but particularly the gameplay.
CM is a dull pod collect-a-thon whereas BM has missions and objectives. It makes a difference. Different water types with effects is clever. The map function is welcome and there is so much to explore. Overall, BM is a hidden gaming gem, truly one of the Jaguar's best. |
