Instructions

THREE-DIMENSIONAL TIC-TAC-TOE

This is the game of Three-Dimensional Tic-Tac-Toe and is played on a 4x4x4 grid. The object is to get four in a row.

In this version, you may play against another person, the computer or the computer against itself. The following is a list of commands to set the environment:
O - pressing O will cause the computer to play "O"
X - pressing X will cause the computer to play "X"
A - pressing A will cause the computer to play both "X" and "O"
M - pressing M will allow manual play (human against human)
T - pressing T at the beginning of a game will allow "O" to go first
# - (any number key) will determine the level of offensive strategy. This is marked on the screen by "O-#". Level 0 is the easiest.
SHIFT-# - (SHIFT with a number key) will determine the level of defensive strategy. This is marked on the screen by "D-#".
SELECT-# - (SELECT with a number key) will allow the computer more or less time to "make up its mind".
OPTION - pressing OPTION will cause the computer to suggest a move.

In order to make a move, you place the cursor at your desired position and press the trigger. With some experimentation with the joystick, you will discover how to move the cursor.
