Additional Comments

With Tonguebath Tommy Meets the Killer Bees.

The original disk only works with the Voice Box. The second version is modified to run on emulators but with no voice.

Many thanks to Bronson Eden for allowing us to distribute the two titles and Steve Tucker for archiving / fixing them!

Trivia

Author Bronson Eden kindly gave permission for the two programs to be archived or distributed and also provided this background information...

"Anyway, here it is. I assume you have a Voice Box because it won't work without it. You'll probably need to load the game before the Voice Box is connected. Select menu item B for Suzi Head Goes to War. The program is running when the screen turns brick red. Disconnect the SIO cable and plug in the Voice Box. Set the timbre to squeaky.

A word of explanation is called for. It was not my intention to be a pioneer of computer pornography. Or maybe it was, I can't remember. It was 25 years ago, I was much younger. I'm an artist. At the time, I was living in the East Village and the idea was to maximize shock value. It worked - no one had ever seen anything like it before. This was pre-Max Headroom! The game was Suzi Head Goes to War - Tonguebath Tommy Meets the Killer Bees came later and I was never satisfied with it. I built a big pink console to run it in and showed it all over NYC. It was sensational. About half the folks loved it and the other half loathed it. I felt like Dr. Frankenstein - I grew to hate this game but I was getting so much publicity I couldn't let it die.

Whatever, that was long ago, and I can't possibly afford to live in my beloved East Village anymore - it's now a yuppie hive. I've lived in the mountains near Woodstock, NY for the last fifteen years. A local art gallery is doing a show about the Lower East Side art scene from the 80's (there is still a lot of interest in it and a number of my former colleagues live around here now - it's kind of boho heaven). The director asked me to do the game, which she read about in a magazine of the day. And that's the story of Suzi Head."
