I loved this one back in the 80s. I played it a lot. Unfortunately the disk has long since stopped working. I loved blasting through the walls and the seemingly enormous space you could explore. It takes a lot of time and imagination to play, so it makes a great rainy weekend game.

I just spent the entire morning reading through the database until I finally found what I was looking for-- Pathfinder! I played this a *lot* back in the day and it was one of the few games that I just couldn't remember the name of. (I had blurred Pathfinder and Pastfinder together as a name.) Anyway, it was awesome when I was 12. I haven't tried it since, maybe better to just keep it how I remember it in my mind's eye! ;-) Cool to see Randy post here too!

As the author of the software I can fill in a few holes. The graphics and music and sound were designed by me. (normal for the day) I don't remember the cover artist for sure but Elaine English comes to mind. The developer was Solitare Group a company composed of Bill Hooper, Jaime Cummins, and me. Later two others joined: Arthur Kobayashi and Mory Mirazazadeh (spelling?) We started by developing games with Gebelli software and later did ports and apps for Broederbund, EA, Epyx, CBS Software, Thorn EMI, CBS Electronics, Jones Cable and Cablevision.

Lots of fun on higher levels, when the fires start getting out of control. Shows its age, however; in the early '80s I played this constantly, but now I probably don't have the patience (or imagination).
