Bank Street Writer is simply a perfect word processor under the limitations of a 40 column screen on the Atari 8-bit. I still use it, and have an original disk that continues to run after all these years. The program is so intuitive that it's learned in five minutes. I like the old ASCI character set (white against a blue background). When I finally came into the IBM PC world, I bought a copy of IBM Writing Assistant. It has strong connections to Bank Street Writer. To this day, I dislike MS Word, which is a memory hog. Remember, in my opinion, a word processor is simply a typewriter on screen. Simplicity and elegance is hard to beat by porking up your program. Yes, and I still like Wheaties and Kellogg's Corn Flakes. I'm stuck in the past. I like it there. And I'm not alone.
