This was rightfully one of Infocom's "advanced level" games! Berlyn, as a professional writer, did have a knack of writing excellent prose that made his interactive text games engaging. While I liked the Indiana Jones-esque nature of Infidel, I found it rather difficult to get too far ahead without a lot of clues!
Yes, the ending is different than what you'd expect from Infocom, but you still *can* complete the game with all 400 points without having to deal with the indignation of the conclusion. You just end it on a "cliffhanger," if you will. |
| One of the few Infocom games to feature no additional characters, this is an Egyptian Pyramid puzzler with Heiroglyphs that just happen to be in ASCII format! Some of the puzzles are ingenious, but you won't like the ending! |
