The author of this Gold Mine, Alan Watson, helped make Seven Cities of Gold and M.U.L.E. some of the most popular Atari Home Computer games of all time. I never heard of this, and you do say it's rare like Steak at Ponderosa. Must've stayed in cartridge format a long time.

Additional Comments

Many thanks to CPUWIZ for reconstructing the file and dumping this unbelievably rare cartridge!

The scans of the box are quite unclear, because it is silver in color and highly reflective. This kind of material is difficult to scan.

In fact, the box is of high quality, and it's also rather large; about the same size as the box for Bounty Bob Strikes Back!.

There is a discrepancy in the game description. On the back of the box, and inside the manual, there is the text, "You are in a small town in France," but on the ouside cover of the instructions, the location of the town is Germany.
