I just played this for the first time, and actually managed to finish it (and make a map, if anybody's interested). I won't give away the items you need in order to succeed or the answer to the riddle, but I can make a few comments. You only get one chance to buy things at the store; once you've entered the game, there's no way back to the store. Don't worry about killing monsters, they appear and disappear randomly eventually. When you touch a chest you are told what's inside, but to pick up the contents you need to use the P command...but don't bother, because the inventory and weight systems are so buggy and the items aren't useful anyway. Touching the Ankh symbols gives you random clues, including the riddle you need to finish the game. And once you've saved the game you need to reboot the disk to continue playing (it's more of a "pause" than a "save" feature). Just copy the "saved" disk to create backups. |
