This is one of the first games my father bought for me the year after we purchased our 1200XL (1984)
By all rights, it's a mindless game with no graphics, but for a kid growing up in the midst of the last gasp of the Cold War, it was awesome. I'd play mission after mission, destroying airbase after airbase in the Soviet Union. I never quite realized my goal of hitting all of them, but I did wipe out a big swath, starting with Pechenga and working my way southeast.
Worthless for anything but nostalgia, great if you're nine in 1984. |
