what you see in this screenshot the words "Free Space" is an option modifiable with the option button. the four choices as to what's in the center of the playfield are Free Space, Asteroid (low gravity), The Sun (high gravity), and Black Hole (invisible high gravity), button Select changes speed Cadet, rookie, pilot, ace. for whatever reason XL vs pre-XL load with different default option "Free Space" XL vs "Asteroid" pre-XL. lots of games do, like Alley Cat "Kitten" XL vs "House Cat" pre-XL. don't forget to press P to change number of players, 1 is also allowed but does almost nothing because 2 3 or 4 are really needed to play. |
